Antioxidant 1076 CAS 2082-79-3

BLIT Chemical supplies high-quality Antioxidant 1076, a sterically hindered phenolic antioxidant widely used in plastics, rubbers, coatings, adhesives, and personal care products. It provides long-term thermal stability and oxidative resistance by scavenging free radicals and preventing polymer degradation during processing and storage. With its excellent compatibility, low volatility, Antioxidant 1076 is one of the most versatile antioxidants for industrial and consumer applications.

Typically a white powder/crystalline powder with good flowability; melting point approximately 50-55°C, density approximately 1.02 g/ml (20°C). The low melting point facilitates addition during polymer processing (e.g., melt-melting and injection molding).

Compatibility and Stability:Excellent compatibility with most polymers (polyethylene, polypropylene, ABS, PVC, polycarbonate, elastomers, etc.);

Low Volatility: Highly resistant to evaporation during high-temperature processing, ensuring long-term effectiveness;

Excellent Extraction Resistance: Resists extraction by water and solvents (e.g., ethanol, water), maintaining efficacy even in humid environments or exposure to solvents;

Non-Staining/Non-Coloring: Will not discolor the material or contaminate other components, making it suitable for applications requiring high aesthetics, such as transparent plastics, coatings, and light-colored products.

Synergistic Effect: Often used in combination with auxiliary antioxidants (e.g., 168, DLTDP) or light stabilizers to further enhance anti-aging effects.

Antioxidant 1076 is widely applied in:

Storage & Handling

– Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
– Keep container tightly closed to prevent contamination.
– Handle with protective gloves and goggles to avoid dust exposure.

Usage Guidelines

– Recommended dosage: 0.05–0.5% depending on polymer type and processing conditions.
– Works synergistically with phosphite antioxidants (e.g., Antioxidant 168) for enhanced thermal stability.
– Effective in both processing stabilization and long-term oxidative resistance.
