    – Used as a stabilizer in solid propellants and explosives

    Centralite react with the acidic substances (such as HNO₃, NO₂) produced by the decomposition of nitrocellulose through the urea group (-NH-CO-NH-) in the molecule to form a stable complex, blocking the self-catalytic decomposition chain; at the same time, its molecular structure can be inserted between the nitrocellulose molecular chains, reducing the intermolecular forces, playing a plasticizing effect, and improving the flexibility and processing properties of the material.
